Colson Baker (or Machine Gun Kelly) is known for his distinctive way of his rapping. Baker was born to a English Scottish German family in Houston Texas U.S.A. On April 22, 1991. As a child, he spent a great period of his time on the road with his parents, who were missionaries. James Colson Baker battled depression and unemployment, and his mom Sonia Alane dumped him at age 9. Baker's father emigrated with his son to Denver and the family lived at the home of his aunt. Baker received a lot of attention from fellow youngsters because of his poor status. When he reached sixth grade, Baker started to take up the art of rap. Colson Kelly was born as Machine Gun Kelly on April 22nd, 1989 in Texas. His music blends modern hip-hop, alternative and rock. Baker has released four mixtapes between 2007 and the year 2010 prior to signing with Bad Boy Records. After delivering lyrics faster than a bullet train the Cleveland artist saw an explosive rise to fame in 2011. He went from releasing self-released cassettes, to the signing of labels. Then his career exploded and each album ranking within the top 10.
